Dario Miale
Nato a Grottaglie (TA) nel 1985, eredito la passione per la fotografia da mio padre, che per decenni ha lavorato nel settore come professionista.
Per formazione e attitudine, ho sviluppato negli anni un vero e proprio amore per il reportage sociale e la fotografia di strada, confini ideali tra cui muovermi per raccontare realtà sedimentate e mondi in divenire.
Curiosare, conoscere, avvicinare la gente, attraverso il diretto contatto con il mezzo fotografico, non solo uno strumento per interpretare, bensì una chiave universale per comunicare e stabilire contatti con mondi nuovi.
La mia è una formazione artistica, ho frequentato l'istituto d'arte con indirizzo grafico, ed al conseguimento del diploma, dopo una serie di esperienze lavorative individuali, ho iniziato una collaborazione stabile con lo studio di comunicazione USOPPOSTO, con il quale a tutt'oggi mi occupo di grafica e fotografia.
Dal 2012, insieme all'amico e artista Giorgio di Palma, abbiamo dato vita al progetto denominato SANO/SANO, un'originale contenitore di idee, basato sull'inedito binomio tra fotografia e ceramica, che racconta in maniera dissacrante, la società contemporanea.
I was born in Grottaglie (TA) in 1985, and inherited the passion for photography from my father, who has been working in the industry as a professional for decades.
Through training and aptitude, over the years I have developed a strong passion for social reportage and observational photography, an ideal framework in which to move in order to convey settled realities and worlds in the making.
I glance at, familiarise and approach people through the direct contact with the photographic medium; which is not only a tool for interpretation, but rather a universal key with which to communicate and establish contacts with new realities.
I come from a creative educational background. I attended the graphic design section of the Institute of Arts, and after the diploma and a series of personal work experiences, I began an on-going collaboration with USOPPOSTO communication agency, at which I occupy the role of graphic designer and photographer.
As of 2012, my friend and artist Giorgio Palma and I initiated the SANO/SANO project, an original container of ideas based around the uncharted combination of photography and ceramics, which portrays contemporary society in a new and irreverent way.
